Join us at the Granby Street Market to make your own colourful glass jars. Through drawing and making, you are invited to imagine the future of Granby – how it might look in 30, 40 or even 100 years’ time. The jars can be kept, becoming monuments of the future that can exist in the home as a continual reminder of the potential future of the area. This workshop is inspired by the Monuments From the Future episode of Liverpool Biennial 2016 and Arseny Zhilyaev’s stained-glass installation in Granby, The Last Planet Parade.
This event is part of The City is a School, an experimental educational project that involves the Mediation and Volunteer team for Liverpool Biennial 2016. The public programme includes workshops, discussions, performances and film screenings.
