Castle for Home is a programme of short films by artists and filmmakers on the theme of domestic, interior and artificial habitats. Peter Greenaway’s H is for House is a humorous portrait of the English home, while turner-prize winning artist Elizabeth Price’s At the House of Mister documents the home of an unnamed art collector. Artist Rachel Reupke’s Letter of Complaint is an amusing account of the art of complaining. Each of these films is interspersed with filmmaker Chris Marker’s short Bestiary series, depicting animals at home and in other captive environments.
Another Version of Events is the official Liverpool Biennial 2016 film programme. A selection of films influenced by genres including sci-fi, mockumentary, pseudo-documentary, mockbuster and ethnofiction is being screened every week throughout the Biennial.
