Talking Practice: Sharon Lockhart in Conversation with Anthony Huberman

13.2.2014

Los Angeles-based artist Sharon Lockhart discusses her work and practice in conversation with Liverpool Biennial 2014 co-curator Anthony Huberman.

Lockhart’s extensive body of work includes projects that involve years of in-depth research and collaboration with communities that result in the creation of both films and photographs. Her visual representations focus on everyday, intimate situations while reflecting broader global conditions through their historically grounded approach.

Sharon Lockhart will have her first solo presentation in the UK at FACT as part of Liverpool Biennial's curated exhibition by Anthony Huberman and Mai Abu ElDahab, 5 July - 26 October 2014.

Talking Practice is Liverpool Biennial's monthly series of talks by practitioners including artists, designers, architects, curators, filmmakers and writers about how they make their work.
