Listen to artist Haegue Yang discuss her immersive sculptural installation for Liverpool Biennial 2018 at Tate Liverpool. Made from artificial woven straw, The Intermediates (2015-ongoing) allude to both traditional arts and crafts techniques, as well as modern industrial production methods. Representing figures and sites from folk tales and ancient traditions, they question definitions of ‘paganism’.

Liverpool Biennial 2018: Beautiful world, where are you? takes place across the city’s public spaces, galleries and civic buildings from 14 July until 28 October.
