American poet, art journalist and novelist Eileen Myles will read from Twice (2014), a text commissioned by Liverpool Biennial for inclusion in the A Needle Walks into a Haystack publication.
Eileen Myles is a poet, novelist and art journalist who has lived in New York since 1974. Myles was the director of the Poetry Project in the eighties, ran an openly female write-in campaign for President of the United States in 1992 and has published 18 books of poetry, fiction and nonfiction, written plays, performances and the libretti for Hell (2004). Inferno (a poet's novel) is now available read by Eileen from iTunes. Myles’s last book of poems Snowflake/different streets came out from Wave Books in 2012. In 2015 Chelsea Girls, her dyke classic fiction, will be reissued by Ecco/Harper Collins as well as I Must Be Living Twice, new & selected poems 1975-2013.
