John Moores Painting Prize: Talk Tuesdays with Rae Hicks

Join us every Tuesday for an exhibition tour, artist talk or gallery discussion as we explore the history of the Prize and its role in contemporary art.

In this session, Rae Hicks talks about his painting Sometimes I Forget That You’re Gone.

The John Moores Painting Prize is the UK’s best-known and longest-running painting competition. Named after its founder, Sir John Moores (1896 –1993), the competition was first held in 1957. The prize culminates in an exhibition held at the Walker Art Gallery from 5 July to 30 November 2014.
