Artist Dorit Margreiter will deliver a talk on thoughts on the ideal home with a screening of a selection of her film works.
Dorit Margreiter (b. 1967 Vienna, Austria where she lives) produces installations, photographs, videos and films dealing with aspects of representation in gender, architecture and film. Recent exhibitions include Stage Set Stage at SBC Gallery Montreal 2014, Performing Histories at MoMA New York 2013, Description at Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia Madrid 2011, Pavilion at the 53rd Biennale di Venezia, Austrian Pavilion 2009, Analog at Museum of Contemporary Art, Leipzig 2006, Original Condition at Stampa, Basel 2006 and 10104 Angelo View Drive at Museum of Modern Art Vienna 2004. Her work has been awarded with the Otto Mauer Award 2002 and the Award of the City of Vienna 2003. Since 2006 she is professor for Video and Videoinstallation at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.

Drinks With… is a series of commissioned presentations by noted speakers, asking pertinent questions in response to the key curatorial concerns of A Needle Walks into a Haystack. The event takes place at the Liverpool Medical Institution on Hope Street and is followed by drinks in the bar.
