Four artists come together to discuss their residencies at Delfina Foundation in London with curator Hena Lee. They are: Zoya Siddiqui (Pakistan), Mohammed Al Faraj (Saudi Arabia), Mamali Shafahi (Iran) and Yonamine (Angola).
Founded in 2007, Delfina Foundation is a London-based non-profit foundation dedicated to facilitating artistic exchange and developing creative practice through its residencies and public programming. As London’s largest host of international residencies, each year Delfina Foundation welcomes around 40 artists and other cultural practitioners for 3-month residencies in its London house. The residency and public programmes at Delfina Foundation are often centred on seasonal themes exploring critical issues in relation to contemporary art and everyday life, with ongoing themes including The Politics of Food, The Public Domain, Performance as Process and Collecting as Practice.
This event is part of The City is a School and is programmed by the Mediation and Volunteer team for Liverpool Biennial 2018. It includes artist talks, workshops, discussions and events.
