The Liverpool Art Run

Liverpool Biennial has partnered with Pullman Hotels and Art Night (London’s all-night contemporary art festival) to present the Liverpool Art Run.

The Liverpool Art Run is a great way to experience art outdoors, whilst exercising and discovering or rediscovering a part of the city. The route starts at Pullman Hotels Liverpool and takes you on a public art tour through popular sites close to Liverpool’s waterfront including Liverpool ONE shopping centre, the Three Graces (that is the Royal Liver Building, The Cunard Building and the Port of Liverpool Building) and the world-famous Albert Dock and is designed to inspire creativity through art and fitness by energising the mind and body.

The five chosen artworks for the Pullman Hotels Liverpool Art Run are: Lawrence Abu Hamdan’s Hummingbird Clock, Gail Dooley’s Tidal Shame, Sir Peter Blake’s Everybody Razzle Dazzle, the late Betty Woodman’s Liverpool Fountain and Ugo Rondinone’s Liverpool Mountain.

The artworks have been selected for their powerful stories and the positive impact they have had on the city of Liverpool. Maps of the running route around the five public artworks are provided and there is an accompanying playlist providing details of the run and each individual artwork (each track to be played when arrived at each stop). The playlist for the Liverpool art Run is narrated by Fatos Ustek, Director of Liverpool Biennial along with the members of the Biennial team: Helena Geilinger, Aimee Harrison, Bethany Garrett and Chantel Baldry.
