Sir Peter Blake’s spectacular designs have been brightening up Cammell Laird’s dry dock in Birkenhead over the past few weeks. Eager to meet the painters and to get his first look at Snowdrop since she came off the water, Sir Peter came to Liverpool last Wednesday, 25 February 2015. The team has been working on the ferry for weeks and Sir Peter got to see Snowdrop looking tantalisingly close to the ‘Dazzle Ferry’ he imagined. – Read more

Everybody Razzle Dazzle is a major new art commission by legendary British pop artist Sir Peter Blake. It will see Liverpool's iconic Mersey Ferry painted with 'dazzle' camouflage using the artist's distinctive designs in colour and monochrome. For Liverpool Biennial 2014, Liverpool-based artist Kevin Hunt was commissioned as Education Artist-in-Residence. Throughout the festival, Kevin worked closely with our Education team to develop artworks and projects that engage people and places in making and thinking about art, as well as working on his own research informing his artistic practice. We talked with Kevin about the importance of artist-led activity in Liverpool and what it was like working with families (and magicians) to create new artworks. – Read more

Putting together the Biennial Exhibition at The Old Blind School was a feat: from finding and renovating the iconic venue, to installing the artwork and preparing to open the doors to the public. Now that the festival is at an end, the team come back together to repack the artwork and close the doors to The Old Blind School once and for all. – Read more

Explore the story and thinking behind legendary TV director Jef Cornelis’ extensive body of work, which included over 200 films on art and culture, spanning the whole second half of the 20th century. In this innovative series of collage and monoprint images, Biennial Fellow Vicky Ellis creates a visual response to the filmmaker’s solo exhibition at St. Andrews Gardens, using her sketchbook as a starting point. – Read more
