Where in the city would you take a Biennial artist?

From the Old Blind School to the half-submerged shoreline of Crosby Beach, at Liverpool Biennial we often work in unusual places. This year’s festival of contemporary art will be no exception: it is set to unfold through the landscape of the city as series of fictional worlds sited in galleries, museums, pubs, unused spaces, stations, hotels, parking lots, shops and supermarkets.

We have been accompanying the artists participating in Liverpool Biennial 2016 on tours around the city, introducing them to the places that we find most interesting, exciting, overlooked or unexplored: from the grand interior of the old ABC Cinema, which closed in 1998, to the former Argos building on Bold Street. But where in Liverpool would you take a Biennial artist? The top of the Radio City Viewing Gallery, perhaps? Or across the Mersey to look back on the city from the vantage of the Wirral, as one audience member suggested during our last artists talk. Wherever it is, we’d love to hear your suggestions ahead of our next artist visit in February.
