Pupils from three Liverpool schools have worked together with award-winning designers Studio Hato to create a new permanent artwork for the playground of Childwall Sports & Science Academy. Dazzle Island has been inspired by Sir Peter Blake’s Everybody Razzle Dazzle commission for the Mersey Ferry and is part of Curious Minds’ Specialist Leaders in Cultural Education (SLiCE) fellowship programme, between Liverpool Biennial and Childwall Sports & Science Academy.

More than 100 pupils from Childwall Sports & Science Academy, Greenbank Primary and Childwall Valley Primary collaborated with Studio Hato for six months to create Dazzle Island. The children explored different artists' work and used bespoke digital tools to create symbols for the final design. Dazzle Island will be at Childwall Sports & Science Academy from 3 September, becoming a new artwork for the city that the pupils can use and enjoy.
